UW Blockchain Hacks 2021 Itinerary

Hello everyone!

UW Blockchain Hacks 2021 is almost here! The hackathon will begin tomorrow, May 15th, at 9 AM PST! We will be hosting an introductory ceremony at 8:50 AM to kick off the event! Be sure to arrive 5 minutes early, so the ceremony can start at the correct time. The ceremony will introduce the hackathon, our fabulous sponsors, our panel of judges, and our prizes, as well as introduce the rules and address any questions you may have. After the ceremony, we will stay in the room to answer questions.

Be sure to join our Discord server, where you can talk to experienced blockchain mentors in case you’re having trouble while working on your project. Here is the formal itinerary for the hackathon:

Hackathon Schedule (All times in PST):

Saturday, May 15th

  • 8:45 AM - Opening ceremony (click for zoom link)

  • 9:00 PM - Hackathon begins

  • Rest of the day to work on projects

Sunday, May 16th

  • 12:00 PM Noon - First time warning

  • 3:00 PM - Second time warning

  • 4:30 PM - Third time warning

  • 4:45 PM - Fourth time warning

  • 4:55 PM - Final time warning

  • 5:00 PM - Submission time, judging begins

Monday, May 17th

  • 2:30 PM - Judging period ends

  • 3:00 PM - Winners announced

If you are signed up for the hackathon and have a team set up, fill out this form and we’ll set up a role and channel for your team on our Discord server! If you’re signed up for the hackathon but don’t have a team yet, let us know on our Discord or email us at blockchn@uw.edu

Thanks to our sponsors at NEAR Protocol and the Blockchain Acceleration Foundation, the prize pool has been increased to $1500 in total prizes, so join in!
